Practical SEO Tips for Your Store

The platform handles the technical side, meta tags, canonical links, clean URLs, structured data, OpenGraph tags, and automatic sitemaps. The tips below cover the part only you can do: your content.

1. Write clear, specific product titles

Use titles your customers actually search for, include the product type, material, and key attribute (e.g. "Muslin Cotton Baby Towel – 6 Layer, Organic"). Avoid keyword stuffing; one clear title outperforms a list of keywords.

2. Fill in product descriptions properly

Every product page on your store generates its own meta description and search snippet. Write 2-3 original sentences per product covering what it is, who it is for, and why it is worth buying. Never copy descriptions from other websites, duplicate content hurts rankings.

3. Use your own custom domain

Stores on a custom domain (www.yourstore.com) build long-term domain authority that belongs to your brand. You can connect a custom domain from your dashboard on any plan that supports it.

4. Upload quality images and let alt tags work

Webilns automatically generates alt attributes for your product images, which helps them appear in Google Image search. Upload clear, well-lit photos, image search is a real traffic source for retail products.

5. Publish blogs for long-tail keywords

Your store includes a built-in blog. Use it for buying guides, care instructions, and comparisons related to your products (e.g. "How to choose a baby bath towel"). Blog posts capture searches your product pages never will.

6. Submit your sitemap to Google Search Console

Your store automatically publishes a sitemap at yourstore.com/sitemap.xml covering every product, category, and page. Add your store to Google Search Console (free) and submit this sitemap so Google indexes new products quickly.

7. Keep your store information consistent

Make sure your store name, address, and phone number match across your website, Google Business Profile, and social media pages. Consistent business information builds trust with both search engines and customers.
